Dr. Rupali Kadakia is a multi-lingual, board-certified family medicine physician who sees patients of all ages–children, adolescents, adults and seniors. She earned her medical degree at Mahatma Gandhi Mission Medical School in Navi Mumbai, India, before coming to the Houston area. She completed an internship in the Baylor College of Medicine, Methodist San Jacinto Family Medicine Clinic in Baytown and a residency in the Memorial Hermann Health System’s Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Kadakia treats acute conditions such as ear-nose-throat infections, gastrointestinal infections and pulmonary infections, as well as chronic conditions including diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, thyroid disorders and asthma.
Because one of her primary clinical interests is preventive medicine, Dr. Kadakia provides counseling to her patients about diet, weight management, exercise and healthy lifestyles. She also likes to take care of women’s health issues, including osteoporosis management and breast and cervical cancer screening.
Dr. Kadakia’s approach to care is highly patient-centered. A compassionate listener, she feels that an important part of her practice--and of the healing process itself--is for patients to be able to voice their concerns and know they are being heard.
She encourages patients to take an active part in their health and helps them formulate personalized plans that work for each individual. Her patients have told her that they feel she truly cares for them and trust her to guide them in making their best health decisions
