Nicole Crowder, DNP, FNP-BC

Advanced practice provider Nicole Crowder is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with experience in newborn nursery, research, medical surgical nursing, hospice, home health, special needs, geriatrics and school nursing.

She earned an associate degree in nursing at Lamar College, a bachelor's degree in nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington, a master’s degree in nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Houston Baptist University and a doctorate in nursing practice from Arkansas State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Baptist University.

Beginning her nursing career in 1997 as a licensed vocational nurse, Nicole has been continually inspired to serve her patients at higher levels. Her love for family and community is a daily motivation to provide the best care to her patients.

Nicole believes that because the mind plays a huge role in the health of the body, mental and physical health go hand in hand. Her focus is to provide patient-centered care and help each patient achieve optimal health. Nicole has a bubbly personality, and she loves to laugh and have a good time with her patients and co-workers.

She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the National Black Nurse Practitioner Association and the American Nurses Association.

Nicole is married and the mother of three children and lots of fur babies. She loves to serve in her church ministries and has dedicated countless hours to COVID-19 testing and vaccinating, feeding the elderly and other areas of community outreach.

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys reading, relaxing with her family and traveling. She hopes in the future to join a sailing club and compete in local competitions, and she would like to establish a community animal rescue and save as many animals as possible.
