Jacqueline Hourigan, BSN, MSN, CCRN

Advanced practice provider Jacqueline Hourigan is a board-certified critical care registered nurse whose primary focus is cardiovascular medicine. Her primary clinical interest is heart and vascular health, an area that has captivated her interest and deepened her understanding of the human body.

She earned an associate degree in nursing from Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, N.C., her bachelor’s degree in nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington and her master’s degree in acute care nursing practice at Walden University.

Jacqueline was inspired to emulate her mother, a distinguished nurse who imparted her profound dedication to patient care to her daughter. She began at age 19 as an emergency room technician, later becoming a registered nurse and then a nurse practitioner.

Her practice approach focuses on providing personalized care, actively listening to patients’ concerns and addressing their individual needs. She wants people under her care to sense a genuine concern for their illness and feel they have received meticulous attention.

She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

In her leisure time, Jacqueline enjoys reading, gardening and sewing when she’s in between activities of her very busy children.
