And as a community stroke support facility, Memorial Hermann Southeast is equipped to rapidly diagnose and treat stroke victims. The experienced, highly trained affiliated neurologists and neurosurgeons apply advanced techniques in the diagnosis, evaluation, management and treatment of patients with acute and non-acute neurological disorders.

The multidisciplinary team includes 24/7 neurology coverage as well as other specialized medical support personnel including neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons.

Using state-of-the-art technology, our team of experts can diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological disorders and conditions, including stroke, sleep disorders, and complex spine conditions. Our experienced, highly trained neurologists and neurosurgeon apply advanced techniques and technologies in the diagnosis, evaluation, management, and treatment of patients with neurological disorders.

Stroke Care

Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital is part of the region’s first and largest stroke care network, encompassing ten of Memorial Hermann’s acute-care hospitals. Establishing the region’s largest stroke network was a voluntary process that provides one more example of how Memorial Hermann goes beyond to provide the highest level of care.

Memorial Hermann Southeast is accredited as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission. In addition, Memorial Hermann Southeast has been recognized by SETRAC - the Southeast Texas Regional Advisory Council - as a Level II Stroke Center.

Our Neuroscience program reflects Memorial Hermann's commitment to providing leading-edge treatments to acute stroke patients. In addition, the Stroke Program at Memorial Hermann Southeast also benefits from close affiliation with Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital and the Mischer Neuroscience Institute at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. Both are certified Comprehensive Stroke Centers. Stroke patients can be easily transferred to either hospital if a higher level of care is required. This comprehensive stroke team consists of affiliated, skilled neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, Emergency Center physicians, hospitalists, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, dietitians and speech therapists.

Memorial Hermann Neuroscience Network

As part of the Memorial Hermann Health System, Memorial Hermann Southeast draws on the extensive clinical resources of its sister hospitals across the city, including the Memorial Hermann - Texas Medical Center and the highly acclaimed Mischer Neuroscience Institute. In cases where additional treatment is critical, 24/7 Life Flight transportation is available with a team including an EMT and nurse.

For the youngest neurology patients, treatment is coordinated with the Children's Neuroscience Center at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital, a recognized leader in the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors, also provides treatment for children with a range of neurological disorders such as spasticity, brain tumors, movement disorders, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, head injuries, craniosynostosis, and spina bifida.
