Southwest Hospital has been caring for families since 1977. A 543-bed facility, Memorial Hermann Southwest employs state-of-the-art technology and a team of highly trained affiliated physicians to offer high-quality care close to home.Memorial Hermann Southwest has been serving the communities of Southwest Houston, including Bellaire, Meyerland, the Galleria area, Missouri City and beyond, since 1977.

Memorial Hermann Southwest was named among the nation's Top 100 Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics. The annual study evaluates the nation's hospitals on measures of overall organizational performance in patient care, operational efficiency and financial stability.

The Southwest campus is also home to the University Place Retirement Community. University Place is a 180-unit senior living residence named by Money magazine as one of the top retirement communities in the country.

Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Intitute

At Houston's first free-standing heart hospital, physicians and patients alike benefit from technology at the leading edge and innovative cardiovascular programs.

At the Heart Valve Clinic, affiliated-physicians of the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute-Southwest use a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and treat heart murmurs. The Clinic is the only site in Houston outside of the Texas Medical Center approved to perform the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) for patients unable to go traditional open-heart surgery.

Neuroscience Center

As one of the most advanced neuroscience centers in Houston with dozens of neurologists and neurosurgeons on staff, we provide our patients with round-the-clock access to specialists to help diagnose and treat a broad range of neurological conditions.

Level IV Trauma Center

As a Level IV state designated trauma facility and through our close relationship with Memorial Hermann Life Flight, our hospital is equipped to handle the most critical and urgent medical emergencies.

Cancer Center

Comprehensive cancer services include a dedicated Breast Care Center, imaging services, diagnostic testing and medical/surgical oncology.

Digestive Health Center

The Endoscopy Center at Memorial Hermann Southwest has highly-trained affiliated-physicians and staff with the latest in endoscopic technology. The Center is also home to the Direct Access Program which allows patients to directly schedule a colonoscopy without having to get a doctor's referral.

Parking Information

Covered Parking is available in Garage One. Across the street is Medical Plaza 1 (7777 Southwest Freeway), through which the hospital can be found (7600 Beechnut). Uncovered/surface parking is also available in the Beechnut lot. From this lot, the hospital entrance can be found through the main doors near the flagpoles.

Driving Directions

From US 59 N, travel South, exit Beechnut and go left under 59 to Brae Acres Road, and turn left onto the Southwest Hospital Campus.

From the Sam Houston Tollway, travel North on US 59, exit Beechnut, turn right and go to Brae Acres Road - the first light, and turn left onto the Southwest Hospital Campus.

From IH 10 W, exit South to the Sam Houston Tollway, then North on US 59, exit Beechnut, turn right and go to Brae Acres Road - the first light, and turn left onto the Southwest Hospital Campus.

From IH 10 E, travel West to US 59, then South on 59, exit Beechnut, turn left under 59 to Brae Acres Road - the first light, and turn left onto the Southwest Hospital Campus.
