CNO Introduction

Since 1971, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center has been providing high quality, convenient health care to the residents of Greater and west Houston. The numerous awards and accolades received at a national level for patient safety, clinical quality, and nursing satisfaction are results of the exemplary nursing team and program established at Memorial Hermann Memorial City.

Nurses are the backbone of patient care at Memorial Hermann Memorial City, serving as advocates for the patient. They know the patient best, closely monitoring their medical progress throughout their stay, noticing any changes in health status. Nurses work collaboratively with the entire health care team to coordinate care, and they provide education and invaluable emotional support to the patient and their family members.

Initially awarded in 2009, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center was west Houston’s first hospital to obtain Magnet® recognition for excellence in nursing. The Magnet Recognition Program® is the most prestigious distinction granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is one of the highest honors a hospital can receive for commitment to nursing and to providing the highest quality patient care. In 2015 and 2020, we earned our Magnet re-designation, continuing and reinforcing our commitment to excellence.

Attracting compassionate, high quality nurses is critical to fulfilling our mission. At Memorial Hermann Memorial City, more than 80% of our Registered Nurses have a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and many have specialty certification, which means our nurses take pride in their advanced knowledge and practice expertise and our commitment to excellence patient outcomes. Our culture promotes nurse advancement, continuous learning, evidence-based practice and recognizes and supports nursing excellence.

We welcome you to explore employment opportunities and to become part of our team.
