From routine cancer screenings to complex treatment, the Cancer Center at Memorial Hermann Memorial City brings together skill, leading-edge technology and the most modern care available. We offer a continuum of diagnostic, treatment and support services designed with the needs of cancer patients in mind.

Patients have access to a team of oncology specialists, which may include affiliated surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and radiologists, depending on their disease. Additionally, a dedicated Oncology Nurse Navigator assists patients and caregivers in the transition from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Radiation Therapy Expertise at our Cancer Center

The Memorial Hermann Cancer Center - Memorial City is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC). This distinction is presented to programs with cancer services striving to uphold the highest standard of care for their patients.

At the Cancer Center, we use a spectrum of advanced radiation technologies and techniques designed to treat tumors accurately and effectively, while reducing side effects. 

Radiation therapy services include:

• External Beam Radiation Therapy (EBRT)
• Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
• Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
• Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
• High-Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy - prostate, breast and gynecological cancers

The Center houses two linear accelerators, the TrueBeam^TM and the TrueBeam^TM STx which targets tumors with higher doses of radiation while preserving healthy surrounding tissue.

Prostate Cancer Treatment using the Hydrogel System

As part of the prostate cancer treatment program, our Cancer Center offer high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy as well as external beam radiotherapy using a hydrogel spacer system. HDR brachytherapy is a powerful form of radiation therapy that can cut the usual treatment time of five weekly treatments for eight weeks down to just two treatments. The hydrogel system can decrease the probability of rectal injury during radiation.

The Memorial Hermann Cancer Center - Memorial City partners with TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation - Memorial City to offer the best in cancer rehabilitation. TIRR Memorial Hermann Outpatient Rehabilitation offers a variety of cancer survivors specialized therapy programs in the outpatient setting. Whether survivors are newly diagnosed or long finished with cancer treatments TIRR Memorial Hermann has one goal in mind, getting patients back to the life they love and integrated back into their communities.

Personalized Support

Our dedicated Oncology Nurse Navigator helps patients and caregivers during the cancer treatment process and beyond. The Oncology Nurse Navigator is an expert oncology clinician and patient/client advocate who addresses patient and family education, and serves as a liaison throughout the continuum of care.

Lindig Family Cancer Resource Center

The Lindig Family Cancer Resource Center is available for patients, their loved ones and the community to provide information, support groups, classes and resources to help in the fight against cancer.

Parking Information

The skybridge on the 3rd floor of the parking garage provides access to Medical Plaza 4. The Cancer Center is on first floor. Surface lot parking is also available and is accesible by Gessner.
