HOUSTON (July 19, 2016)

University Place Adult Living Community is preparing for its second annual University Place Senior Art Show. The event is open to the public and will feature the artwork of 14 University Place residents.

“We encourage our residents to maintain an active lifestyle and offer many services that allow them to focus on their hobbies and other forms of recreation,” says Paul Friesen, Vice President of Operations, University Place. “We have some incredibly talented residents and it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to see their work and watch them share their talents with the community.”

The University Place Senior Art Show will take place at University Place from July 27 through July 31. The public can view the works on display from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., July 27 and from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., July 28 through July 31. Some of the work on display includes paintings, drawings and woodworking pieces.

“It’s just a great opportunity to share what we’re able to do with others,” says Bess Tucker, University Place resident. “Life doesn’t cease when you move into a retirement community. It’s important to keep producing. We’re grateful to have the opportunity to pursue the hobbies we enjoy and share the talents we have with one another and the public.”
