Two with recognition awards for newborn careFour Memorial Hermann Campuses - The Woodlands, Katy, Southeast and Sugar Land - recently were honored for their excellence and commitment to newborns and their families. The Texas Department of State Health Services granted these facilities its prestigious Five-Star Award for exemplary work in five areas:

  • Timeliness
  • Standardization
  • Training
  • Collection of Birth Information
  • Immunization Registry

2009 marks the seventh year to receive this recognition for Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center, the fourth for Memorial Hermann Southeast and Memorial Hermann Katy and the second for Memorial Hermann Sugar Land.

Celina Robles, the Birth Certificate Registrar for Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, traveled to Austin to receive the Five Star Hospital Award presented to her by Aimee Evins, a former Memorial Hermann employee and Birth Certificate Registrar, who now works for the Attorney General's office.
