KATY, TEXAS (September 02, 2015)

Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital’s nursing staff was again awarded the Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. The designation is given to healthcare organizations that create work environments in which nurses can flourish and is a testament to professional satisfaction among nurses. It also identifies best places to work for nurses.

“We are committed to fostering an environment that encourages and supports our exceptional nursing staff,” said Linda Stephens, Chief Nursing Officer at Memorial Hermann Katy. “Our Pathway to Excellence® designation demonstrates to our staff and to our community that we support our nurses and value their role in providing quality patient care.”

“The commitment of our nurses to provide high-quality and safe patient care is proven time and again. The Pathway to Excellence® designation is just one example of the strength and dedication of our staff,” said Cathy Liles, RN, Memorial Hermann Katy.

For an organization to earn the designation, it must successfully undergo a vigorous review process documenting quality initiatives that create a positive work environment as defined by nurses and supported by research. Nurses in the organization verify the presence of the criteria through participation in an online survey.

“The Pathway to Excellence designation has a very positive overall impact,” said Jim Parisi, Memorial Hermann Katy Chief Executive Officer. “It promotes a culture of staff engagement, quality, safety and collegiality among all disciplines benefiting the entire hospital.”

Memorial Hermann Katy currently employs more than 450 nurses, and will be hiring more as the hospital completes its expansion. View current job openings or visit www.memorialhermann.org to learn more about Memorial Hermann.
