In the new labs, cardiac electrophysiologists can insert pacemakers and perform ablations to treat irregular heartbeats. Specialists can also now offer procedures like removing life-threatening blood clots or inserting stents to help blood flow through arteries via a catheter, which is a small tube that is inserted into a large blood vessel usually in the groin.

The highly-trained team at Memorial Hermann Katy is prepared to treat arrhythmias in a variety of ways, including through minimally invasive procedures similar to the ones being done at the Texas Medical Center, in our new EP lab,” says Sunil Reddy, M.D., a cardiac electrophysiologist with Memorial Hermann Katy and McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
Memorial Hermann Katy is equipped to handle a variety of heart and vascular conditions, including treating heart attacks at its accredited chest pain center.
