HOUSTON (November 14, 2018)

Memorial Hermann is pleased to announce that its Convenient Care Center in Kingwood will open Nov. 19 following several months of remediation and reconstruction due to flooding associated with Hurricane Harvey.

“When Hurricane Harvey struck, we were days away from the grand opening of Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center in Kingwood,” said Josh Urban, senior vice president and CEO of Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital and Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. “Like many others in our community, we experienced significant damage from the storm. While it’s been a long road to recovery, we are pleased to open our doors and provide the Kingwood and Greater Lake Houston communities with a one-stop-shop for their healthcare needs.”

Like its sister facilities in Greater Heights, Katy, League City, Sienna Plantation, Spring and Summer Creek, the 44,450-square-foot Convenient Care Center will offer adult and pediatric primary care through Memorial Hermann Medical Group, as well as comprehensive imaging services, lab services, sports medicine and rehabilitation, and a 24-hour Emergency Room staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and emergency-trained nurses.

“Memorial Hermann’s Convenient Care Centers are a new approach to health care, providing patients with a highly accessible location for a variety of services, from primary care to 24-hour emergency care and screening mammograms to MRI,” said Teal Holden, senior vice president of Memorial Hermann Ambulatory Services.

The Kingwood location is not only an extension of Memorial Hermann Northeast, but it’s also connected to the larger Memorial Hermann system. If a higher level of care is needed, patients can be transferred to nearby Memorial Hermann Northeast, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, or even to the system’s locations in the Texas Medical Center, including Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The Convenient Care Center is located at 4533 Kingwood Drive and West Lake Houston Parkway. For more information, call (346) 320-5300.
