“We’re excited to reach another milestone in this project,” said Greg Haralson, Sr. Vice President and CEO of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land. “The new patient tower will provide us the opportunity to take care of more of our community members who trust Memorial Hermann for their care.”
The 155,000 square-foot patient tower is the centerpiece of the project that will have the capacity to add 90 patient beds to the 81-bed hospital. Scheduled for completion next summer, the six-story patient tower is being constructed so that four additional floors can be added at a later date.
On the other side of the campus work continues on a 100,000 square-foot medical plaza. The medical plaza will provide space for physician offices, outpatient imaging and expanded sports medicine and rehabilitation services. The medical plaza is scheduled for completion by December of this year.
“Memorial Hermann has made a commitment to the community to advance health,” said Haralson. “What we’re doing with our new patient tower and medical plaza will allow us to provide an even greater level of safe, high quality care to the community for years to come.
