Houston Rockets forward Shane Battier underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) test this morning at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in order to gauge his recovery from inflammation in his left ankle that has sidelined him this preseason. Test results revealed improvement in Battier's condition.
"The MRI showed improvement and Shane is now ready to increase his rehabilitation program designed to allow him to return to play," said Rockets Team Physician Tom Clanton, MD. A new timetable for his return to action has not yet been established.
